September in NYC at NYFW SS15
Day 5 of fashion week I got to go hang out at the Empire Hotel rooftop to celebrate Isabella Rose Taylor’s NYFW SS15 show with Dell! Really long story short, my good friend Mary Yitalo, who I met on my plane from New York to Austin, introduced me to her friend who works for Dell, Lauren Mauro, while I was home visiting Austin.
We met up for drinks and Lauren told me a little about what she does and invited me to their NYFW party! I brought my good friend Caitlin (Rock and Real Attire) to join in on the fun. The party was so beautiful with the sunset, blue and white Dell computer pillows scattered on the couches, and a fun photo booth.
I got the pleasure of meeting Isabella Rose Taylor who designs girl’s casual clothes. Her line is currently being sold at Nordstrom! It is so amazing to meet such young talent… especially coming from Texas :). I just want to thank Lauren, Isabella, and the team at Dell for inviting me to this lovely event. Isabella Rose Taylor is such an amazing inspiration to girls and women around the world. You’re never too young and its never too late to make your dreams happen!
About my look… I am wearing my oh so lovely Prada sleeveless coat with a black and white wool patterned crop top underneath. I have paired it with my sheer black Gomez-Gracia pants and my Chloe heels. I added in the calf hair burgundy handbag to give the outfit a little pop of color but still remaining dark for a more evening look. I tied my Empire State 36 inch scarf around the handle to give the look a bit more of a Lexicon flare. This outfit was perfect for hanging out on a breezy rooftop. I felt as if I was just going to float away up there with all my clothes blowing in the wind haha.
TREND ALERT: I have already mentioned it before but SLEEVELESS coats are the hottest thing right now… and also hounds tooth. I know my shirt isn’t exactly hounds tooth but it sort of looks like it.
