Okay… now say it with me- la roshe po-ZAY-. I literally have had to say that in my head over and over again to finally get it right.
Anyways, if you haven’t heard of this brand you’re missing out! It is truly amazing. But I want to start by introducing you to the story behind the name… because its so cool.
So La Roche-Posay is actually a tiny town in France where there is natural soothing antioxidant Thermal Spring Water running through it. This water has high levels of Selenium which is a super rare and powerful antioxidant that really benefits your skin. The La Roche- Posay Thermal Center opened in 1905 where thousands of patients go to get treated for various skin conditions such as eczema, etc. The La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring water is the key ingredient used in all of their skin formulas.
Isn’t that so cool? So I (and like 18 other bloggers) got to spend the day over at the their HQ to learn more about the La Roche- Posay, different kinds of acne/acne treatments, how to make the different products and then try them all out.
First of all… I didn’t know there were so many different kinds of acne scars (ice pick, rolling, boxcar, and atrophic scars). Also, did you know acne is most often caused by genetics?! Anywho, I didn’t suffer from terrible acne as a teenager (just the occasional breakout) but it would’ve been super helpful knowing about La Roche-Posay in high school (specifically the Effaclar Acne Treatment System) but I am so happy to know about it now because it’s perfect for any age (especially when we get those hormonal breakouts).
I am not really a big pimple-popper person. My main issues are my combination skin (super oily t-zone and dry cheeks) and visible pores (specifically on my nose)!
