Fashion Palette

September in NYC at the Fashion Palette SS15 RTW show at Pier 59 studios

 
So as some of ya’ll my know I have a crazy obsession with Australian brands… such as Cameo, Finders Keepers, Style Stalker, etc. I got invited to go to the Fashion Palette showcase, which featured about 8 different Australian ready to wear designers. “Fashion Palette celebrates Australian fashion on the local and international fashion scene with a reputation for nurturing emerging talent. Organized by Sonya Mefaddi and team the collection shows takes place during New York and Australian Fashion Weeks and see’s over 20 showcases each season.”

 
This show was a blast to watch but of course I had my favorites out of the bunch. I would have to say that Salasai and BLACK BY GENG were my two favorite designers. They both went along the more structured and minimalist looks but did them in a very edgy way. I think my favorite look though out of everything was the oversized sweater from Salasai that looks sort of like a character from Beetle Juice. Overall these pieces were great in all the collections. It was hard to choose only a few but these definitely were them. Congrats to these upcoming designers!

TREND ALERT: This is sort of difficult because there were 8 different collections but overall I think I would say minimalist and classic silhouettes.  Lots of crop tops and fitted skirts but also baggy sweaters and dresses.
