The Garment District
I love getting to share with y’all some of my favorite places around the world but it has been a while since I have gotten the chance to tell you about some really fun places to go out here in New York City! I live in the East Village and sometimes I need to get my dose of skyscrapers and the fast-paced life of NYC. The Garment District, which stretches from 38th to 41st on Broadway, offers so many delicious bars/restaurants and AMAZING rooftop lounges! Sometimes after living downtown for so long I forget about the amazing monuments that make our city what it is, so it’s nice to get the chance to go out the Garment District and soak all of it in. Y’all know I love a good cocktail and a view, so this past Friday, I ventured out to the Monarch Rooftop for a delicious drink and to soak up some rays while looking out to the Empire State Building. I ordered the Strawberry Fields and it was absolutely DELICIOUS (any note my Friends reference here?). The Monarch serves some amazing day drinking vibes and turns into a bumpin club at night. There’s nothing quite like dancing the night away while looking out onto this beautiful concrete jungle… amiright? I have been to The Monarch multiple times at night but we just stayed for some day drinks and then ventured out to the Garment District Urban Garden where we chilled and got some snacks at the food market and people watched. I love food trucks/market food because there are so many different cuisines all right next to each other so you can literally have whatever you likeeee (cue the T.I. voice). After venturing up and down the Garment District Urban Garden, we still weren’t completely full but wanted something a little light. So we headed over to Boqueria, as Spanish tapas restaurant, for some amazing tapas and shishito pepper margarita (omg so yum). These are just a few of my favorite places in the Garment District but there are literally so many others to try out! Let me know which you choose and tell me how it goes 🙂
