September in NYC: Josie Natori Fashion week coverage for Bastion and Co
I am s0 excited to start sharing with y’all my second fashion week experience! I got to kick off fashion week a day early covering the Josie Natori show for BASTION &CO To tell you a little bit about BASTION &CO before covering the Josie Natori show, BASTION &CO is a fashion company that stands for the lifestyles of the ambitious. BASTION &CO, “came to light at the culmination of a series of conversations between co-founders, discussing the role of fashion and style in the lives of those who are consumed by career and ambition.”
The founders Mats and Arian have recently become new friends of mine and I love their ambitious attitudes and appreciate the goals they have set for themselves and their fashion company. I can’t wait to work with them in the future. It is always great working with people who are just as driven and goal oriented. BASTION &CO and I will be working on a styling collaboration soon so stay tuned!
Since we both understand each other on a deeper level, we decided to go ahead and begin working together during fashion week! I got to go to the pre fashion week show for Josie Natori and cover her amazing collection. The collection was full of intricate embroideries and detailing. The collection as a whole was very soft and tasteful resembling some Asian influences with the linens and sandy hues. The open robes and asymmetrical tops resembled sort kimono/wrap pieces that you see often in Asia. Though the entire collection was to die for, there were a few pieces that I literally swooned over. They were the blush pink coat, the black cape duster with the black one piece underneath, and the finale champagne gown. A major trend alert spotted for SS15 is going to be subtle but rich pastels and soft silhouettes. You can see my favorite pieces of the collection above in the gallery I have attached!
