Look of the Day 3 at New York Fashion Week FW15
During NYFW everyone was talking about how the streetwalkers of fashion week were dressing inappropriately for the cold. Well yes, I would agree that this look isn’t the perfect snow bunny outfit, but I was so excited to wear my new denim culottes that Naty Michele (A Love Affair with Fashion) picked out for me at the Lulus.com event the night before, that I just didn’t even care! Although, I will let you in on a little secret… I am wearing biker shorts (spanx) underneath to keep my legs and bum warm. The spanx kind of worked, but I wish I just would’ve worn tights underneath because I know they’d have been better.
Anyway, how great are these pants?! I was at the Lulu’s NYFW event the night before where we got to pick out an article of clothing. I was going through all of the picked over racks and out comes Naty from the madness waving these amazing culottes in the aid! I tried them on underneath my dress and knew they were a perfect fit. So I styled them with a turtle neck crop top, cut out heels, and an oversized shearling parka to keep me warm. Although, I don’t recommend this look for snowy days, I do recommend it for brisk/cool ones! I wasn’t freezing but it was a bit cold. Wearing the Aspen bandana scarf.
