NYFW 2016 Day 3

A recap of NYFW 2016 Day 3 from Getty Images

Unfortunately I was unable to attend my events and shows on day 3. I felt so awful about not being able to show up and support some of my favorite designers, and even worse about not being able to catch up with some of my favorite NYC connections. Sometimes in life, personal matters have to come first, and the best thing we can do is get back up the next day and make the best of it!

Although I wasn’t able to attend, I did want to pull some of my favorite looks for y’all. My agenda was supposed to be full of amazing shows, the first being one of the presentations I always look forward to: Leanne Marshall. After experiencing the beauty of her show last fall, I just knew that this season would be just as beautiful if not more. The looks below are so bold and elegant, which is what Leanne’s vision has always been since she took home the win on Project Runway.

Next up was Rebecca Minkoff – which as y’all know, is one of my favorite brands here in NYC. The looks that she put together this fashion week really stood out to me. Compared to the looks that swept me away this past fall, I feel as if these looks take the RMNYC brand to another level of high fashion. Which look is y’alls favorite?

If you haven’t heard of Monique Lhuillier, you need to ASAP! The looks below are the ones I pulled not only in order to show y’all my favorites, but to also display the brand in the best way possible. The photos below showcase the gorgeous [and I mean gorgeous] designs that come out of the Monique brand. Each look captures the eloquent and feminine mind of the designer.

I was supposed to end the day with Son Jung Wan. I am so bummed I missed this one! I love how structured all of the looks were that walked down the runway. Structure is becoming such an important part of design to me. What do y’all think of the neutrals and the mod structure mixed together?

I would love to hear what y’all think about the strand of looks above. I truly admire how each line is completely different. It makes me so excited for fall 2016!

More to come from Lexicon of Fashion Week!
