Red Hot in the Middle of Fashion Week

Portemode and Tresemmè took me from drab to fab

The structure of pieces is something so intricately designed – from dresses, to skirts, to peplums to cropped pants. It’s like putting together a layout for a building; each stitch leads to another and every seam structures the design into what it should be.

The dress I was able to wear for NYFW left me drooling. The dress had an immense amount of detail and intricate artistic work put into the design. The dress had a sheer top layer that had thousands of sewn on swatches of thick fabric resembling a faux leather, ranging from different shades of red to beige and black.

This dress was so elegant yet spicy to strut to the shows. The structure of the top was form fitting to the waist, and the skirt was full of twirling opportunities (my favorite, as you know if you read my last post). I paired this look with the Lexicon of Style Aspen Twilly along with the edgiest red spiked clutch. My sunglasses from QUAY pulled the edge of this look together with the help if some ruby woo lipstick.

I have honestly loved each piece I have received from Portemode. Styling their pieces with my Lexicon pop of style, I feel confident in each outfit. What does it mean to y’all to feel confident in your outfits?

To me, feeling confident is the most important part of dressing yourself. It’s so important to dress for yourself and no one else. Whether it’s over dressing or feeling your best in a t-shirt and jeans, confidence is key, no matter what you’re doing or what city you’re in.

I have pulled my recent looks from Portemode so you can see all of the fabulous looks I’ve put together with the help of their pieces. Take a look below!

More looks to come!
