NYFW15 Look of the Day 2

Look of the day 2 from New York Fashion Week FW 2015

For Day 2 of NYFW I wanted to dress appropriately for the weather — so naturally I wore my faux fur hat and coat with suede boots and a neoprene dress. This day was especially special for me because this was the day I was selected for an interview for Yahoo Live and also pictured in British Vogue: Street Chic! During my interview I was asked ‘what inspired this outfit?’ and honestly it was just the absurdly cold weather that inspired all the elements of this look!  I was aiming for a “glam-eskimo” vibe with the metallic accents on the dress and tights to make it fancy but the tribal print and fur hat to make it sort of bohemian.  I Instagrammed this dress at the And Other Stories store in Soho and am so happy I bought it for myself! I love the fit and flare/skater shape of this dress– it’s so slimming and flattering.  This is just another example of my belief in playing with the boundaries of fashion.  Some people may think this look is a little much but, “anything worth doing and is worth over doing!”  (Mick Jagger)
